Inspiration Angels Welcome Debbie!

I would like to welcome
our newest 'Inspiration Angel' with a big HELLO...
Welcome Debbie.

Debbie & I met about 9 years ago at a monthly gathering of stampers & scrappers we had in our friend, Debbie J's garage. Ahhh the old days! I love thinking back *smile*. These were the days when it all began for me. I was only new to Stamping, and so lucky to have met the girls who had started the monthly Club at Debbie J's. (All who are very close friends of mine still today). Debbie was a talented stamper even back then, I remember being inspired to be able to stamp just like her one day and make beautiful cards like hers. Debbie and I often sat together on camps, she's a bubble of creativity, and never runs out of ideas!

It goes to say, 9 years later Debbie hasn't changed a bit!
She's still making beautiful inspiring cards.

These are some of the gorgeous cards I have received
over the past months from Debbie.

The Paper Angels Group & Inspiration Angels
are very excited to have Debbie join us!

"My Street" a story of the wonderful friends you meet through the love of Paper Craft!

I love many things about Stampin' Up!

One of those things that really stand out in my mind though is the wonderful new friends I have made through sharing Stampin' Up! at workshops. I have met guests who have a shared love of Paper Craft as well as those who have never picked up a Rubber Stamp.

Many of the guests I have met have become regular customers and hostesses and over time we have together shared tips, ideas, and stories of our common love of Paper Craft.

Those that have been introduced to Stampin' for the first time have often caught the 'Bug!'. For most, I've watched their joy as they created their first ever Paper Project.

I love that I have sooooo many friends in my Paper Craft Circle of Friends, and I love knowing that it is through Stampin' Up! that have met these friends.

I also love all the gorgeous cards that I get to see that these ladies have made. Often I will get an email with a photo attached saying "look what I made today!". On many occasions I'll get a "come check this out" when I drop in with a delivery, and hostesses that share with me their craft rooms. I love it all!

Here is a card that I was shown last Sunday when I dropped by to deliver Barbara's order. I grabbed out my phone and took this pic, isn't it just adorable!

Barbara was a first timer when I met her at Margaret's (a special friend going way back 10 years of Paper Crafting Together) workshop in October 2009. She took in all I had to share that day, and from the minute she inked up her first stamp was "hooked!". Barbara has since been a regular participant in all my classes, Paper Angels events, a hostess, and a regular guest at every workshop in her circle of friends. Barbara took no time introducing Stampin' Up! to her daughter, Jennifer, and now share together a hobby they both enjoy and spend time together creating on many occasions. It goes to say that Barbara and Jennifer have built a collection of Stampin' Up! Stamps/ink/cards etc that could put mine to shame! giggle.

Margaret & Barbara both live in a street known as
"My Street" when it comes to Stampin' Up!
My car goes into auto pilot when I head in that direction for deliveries and workshops.
This street is the perfect example of why Stampin' is so much fun and a great way to meet and make wonderful friends.

Margaret No.22 held a workshop, from there I met Lesley No.4 who hosted the next. Margaret No.22 quickly put her hand up for another workshop, at which I met Barbara No.29 and Mandy No.6. Both Mandy No.6 and Barbara No. 29 became hostesses and at Barbara's I met Karen No.26 and Ros No.31. Karen & Ros have both gone on to be Catalogue Workshop Hostesses. Yes that's right 6 hostesses in 1 street! The girls in the street often get together once a week or fortnight at each other's house and hold Scrappin/Stampin' Days where they share their punches, stamps and ideas! I know what you are all thinking, "I want to move to that street!"

It doesn't stop there, but I'll save it for another time!

Stay tuned as I share other wonderful stories of the friends I've made through the wonderful time I have of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

If you would like to know more about the opportunity of becoming a demonstrator too,
drop me a line or give me a call.
Remember until the 31st July you can save 20% off when you join.

Cards for Troops!

This year at our Paper Angels Annual Christmas Card Events we will have a box where you can donate 'Cards for Troops'!

There are many of our Australian Troops Serving Overseas in many places and most of them won't get the chance to come home and be with their loved ones for Christmas.

'Cards for Troops' ensure that our Australian Soldiers are able to send a special card home to their loved ones such as their kids, spouses, parents etc.
Last year 'Cards for Troops' sent many cards, that were greatly appreciated, and this year we would like them to send many more.

Have you got Christmas cards you made last year that didn't get used?
Have you got the time to set aside a few hours and
make a few Christmas cards to be sent to our troops?
Maybe you could make just one special card this year that can be sent knowing that it will go to an Aussie Soldier who will take great pleasure sending a special message in it back to his/her family this Christmas.

Look for our Box at our Paper Angels Christmas Card events, and pop a card or 2 in there for our Troops. (Please include a blank envelope where possible).

Can't make it to our events this year but you would like to donate to 'Cards for Troops',
Pop them in the mail to me and I will ensure they are sent in with our cards for this
wonderful program.

While we are on the subject of troops, I'd like to say that the spunky model in my photos is my Brother-in-law Jason. Thanks Jason for being my poster boy! Here's my chance also to share a beautiful photo from my Sister Jackie and Jason's Wedding Day in March this year!

Convention 2010 Awards & Recognition Banquet Night!

Like Hollywood Celebrities we entered the room on the Red Carpet with the Paparazzi snapping away and our fans awaiting our arrival and cheering us on! We were set from the start for a fabulous night!

The fans cheering us on being none other than the staff of Stampin' Up! of course! lol

The room was stunning, I loved the gorgeous candle centre pieces.

Glowing, Liz and Fiona who I shared a table with.

I also had the pleasure of sitting with Jeanette for the night.
We were well behaved of course... chuckle!

We had so many laughs, it was so much fun!

Ursula & Liz xo
Have a look at Ursula's amazing necklace, she is so talented, she made it herself.

Having a ball... Fiona & Trish!

After a very yummy ( and very classy) dinner, the awards and recognition began.

The stage was calling me... hee hee hee

This year each award recipient got to walk the stage and give a little bow or share their excitement with a little dance etc. Last year I didn't quite make it to the stage, so as you can imagine I got a bit excited the first time I got called up... here I am after receiving my award for sales over $20,000. Woo Hoo!

As well as receiving a pin & award recognition, we also received free stamps, this years stamps are not yet released ones... yep, we really got spoilt! lol. They were packed so nicely in gift bags. Here's Liz with one of her prize bags.

I was a very lucky girl this year receiving 2 awards. My second award being for recruiting. I have had 6 beautiful girls join my Inspiration Angels Group over the past year, and was recognised for this with a Recruiting Pin and yep, another stamp set. I didn't show off as much this time, but still had a grin from ear to ear as I took my second ever walk across the Stampin' Up! Stage.

Special Congratulations go to Paper Angels Bec & Liz for both achieving Top 25 Demonstrator Awards. Bec was awarded number 19 Top Demonstrator, and Liz came in at number 6! WOW!!!

Stampin' Up! gave us a fantastic presentation as they announced
Incentive Trip 2011 will be in FIJI!!!

The room was alive with excitement. A few people were invited to the stage, and really got into the spirit dancing Fiji Style!

Shelli's husband Sterling was one of the lucky ones invited on stage, and as you can see he loved every moment feeling the Fiji vibe and getting down with the groove!

Awards were then presented to those who have achieved Incentive Trip 2010 - Hamilton Island. Both Liz & Bec achieved Incentive this year, they both have worked so hard and deserve this amazing 5 star trip away! Well done Bec & Liz xo

All fun things come to an end, but not so quickly for the Paper Angels. We always some how make the fun last as long as possible. After the awards were over, we saw an opening to take to the stage and snap up a group photo or two!

You have may noticed a spunky looking fella amongst our fun Paper Angels Stage photos. That's Aaron Scott. Stampin' Up!s Regional Business Development Manager for Australia.

Looks like the Stampin' Up! staff thought they would have the same fun as the Paper Angels did on stage and snap up a group photo too!

Take Two, a little bit more sensible this time as we take the opportunity to have a Paper Angels Group Photo with SU CEO Shelli Gardner & SU Director Bonnie Thurber.

I was not leaving without a photo with Shelli of course! xo

Like I said, we never want such a fun night to end, so we stayed back until we were just about kicked out and chatted with Shelli & SU Vice President Pam Morgan. I just love that everyone always has the time for a chat.

Then that was that. Big hugs as we said bye til next time, and back to our rooms. No sleep for me though, all I could dream of was Stampin'! lol lol lol

Can't wait til next year.
Convention 2011 will be 3 days (we get an extra day, yey)
in Melbourne!

Who wants to join us in 2011?

Colour Renovation!

Stampin' Up!s latest BIG news is that at the end of August, there will be a Colour Revamp!
I can share that with you now so we can all start planning ahead for Stampin' Up!s new colour collections hitting our craft rooms on the 1st Sept 10, and stock up on those favourite colours we will be saying a fond farewell to.

Colour is fundamental to Stampin' Up! and it is important to keep up to date with trends. After extensive research for the past 2 years investigating colour trends in fashion, home decor, crafting industries, and asking demonstrators and customers through surveys etc, Stampin' Up! have put together a fresh and fashionable new colour pallet for us to work with...
and it is a very exciting and welcomed change!

Below are the new colour collections we will have as of the 1st Sept 2010.

You may notice some of our favourite in-colours present and past are here to stay, and there are new colours we haven't ever seen before. Kraft even has a new name 'Crumb Cake'.
Maybe you've spotted the 3 new colours from the Autumn Winter Mini and jumped up to do a little dance like me! :-)

Below is the list of colours we will say a Fond farewell to... (There is still plenty of time though to stock up on ink re-fills, card, ribbons etc if an old time favourite of yours is in this collection.)

Stampin' Up! is thrilled to be introducing their new 'Up to Date' line of colours, I'm excited and hope you all are too!

I'm still here!

Just a quick note to let you know I am still here and hoping things will be settled in the next week or so, so I can be back on track posting lots of projects to share and keep the Inspiration flowing!
I have had a few workshops on over the past couple of weeks, even heading off to one tomorrow night (Hi Helen, Sarah, and Kelly), I'm finding the balance is slowly falling into place between working full time, being a mum, and having my time for Stampin' and workshops etc. (Lets not mention the extra shopping I've "had" to fit in for new work clothes etc, with no complaints from me of course. lol)
Stay tuned... I might even find time over the long weekends we have coming up for a big pile of posts to share!
Happy Stampin' xo

Back to work!

I'd like to let all my lovely stampin' friends know, that after Easter
I will be returning to full time work (M-F).
As most of you know, we have had our house on the market for quite a while now, and we have come to the realisation that to keep our heads above water, *chuckle* (thought that was a good island joke for you) there is a real need for me to return to work.
I have been very lucky to have 7 days a week 24 hours a day to stamp when my little heart desires for the past 2 years. Please don't think the stampin' will stop just cause i won't have as many hours in the day to do it!
I'm still here, still stampin', very happy to take workshop bookings and come to your place for Stampin' Up! fun as often as you want me there! :-)
I will always be your Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and will continue updating my blog with inspiration as often as I can. I also have a wonderful group of girls in my Inspiration Angels Team who are planning classes and I will extend the invite to you all if you would like to go to their classes. Lets not forget our Paper Angels Events as well... I'll be there, and I'd love you all to be there too!
For those wondering, I will be working at my old workplace Moorooka Nissan, Hyundai, & Suzuki in Fleet Sales. Feel free to pop in and buy a car if you like! lol (Debbie can tell you how fabulous a saleslady I can be. hee hee hee. Need an upgrade Debbie? lol).

News Break!

If there is a report for Missing Person in the name of Leonie, it will be Mark and my kids wondering where I am. Shhhhh don't tell them, cause I'll be happily hiding away in my craft room playing with my box of NEW goodies!

Yes, it arrived today!
My Autumn Winter goodies, including my Big Shot!
YEY!!!!!!

I'm not quite sure where to start. I'm thinking though that this box Ursula has made with the Big Shot Top Note Die could be a good thing to try making first.

Isn't it just adorable!

Now you must keep my hideout a secret okay.
I'm going to need plenty of time to spend with my new products...
I can hear them calling me now! Bye.......

BIG SHOT ~ The wait is nearly over...

We asked for it.. and we got it!

For those who haven't heard yet, the latest and most exciting news to come Stampin' Up! Australia's way, is the BIG SHOT! Woo Hoo!!!!!!

To be released 1st April 2010.

With the Sizzix Big Shot and Stampin' Up!s range of dies, creating die-cut shapes, envelopes, tags, 3D items, and much more, will be a cinch! Great for Cards and Scrapping of course, but don't stop there... The Big Shot can be a wonderful friend when creating Home Decor and much more.

The Big Shot is a manual Die Cutting Machine that cuts through a mountain of different materials extending far beyond Card and Paper. It will cut through Fabric, Chipboard, Plastic, Window Sheets, Magnet, Vinyl, Canvas, Leather and so much more.

Check out this bag created with the Big Shot 'Top Note' Die (created by Lynn Pratt)

Here's a few reason's why I know you will love the BIG SHOT and why it will soon become every bodies new best friend... and we'll wonder how we ever lived without it!

* The Big Shot is a light weight manual die cutting machine, it's not electrical so you can use it anywhere, no need for power points or leads, and no risk of it breaking down or needing a service!

* Not only does the Big Shot cut through over 50 different materials, when creating 3D projects it doesn't just cut, it scores at the same time!

* The Big Shot can cut dies through several layers of card stock in just a couple of turns of the handle, all at once!

* The Big Shot is compatible with any die made by any company, making it one of the most versatile Die Cutting Machines on the Market today.

Can't wait to test drive the Big Shot Machine?
Come along on the 28th to our Launch.

I will be offering a BIG SHOT BUNDLE to my customers who attend, with great savings.

Inspiration Angels Welcome Paula!

I would like to welcome
our newest 'Inspiration Angel' with a big HELLO...
Welcome Paula.
I first met Paula a few years ago on a Scrapping Camp. Since then Paula has been to several Stampin' Up! workshops of mine and has been a hostess herself. Paula had booked herself in with me to be a hostess during our current Sale-A-Bration, after seeing what a fabulous time it was to join and all the great benefits of being a Demonstrator, like pre-ordering from the new mini coming up and getting an extra discount when doing this, Paula took one look at her already huge wish list (and that's the one without even seeing the mini! lol) and decided then and there she'd join our circle of stampin' friends!

I know I'm so excited to have her join us and can't wait to introduce Paula to all my Inspiration Angel and Paper Angel Friends. I've got this little feeling Paula can't wait either!

Special reminder that being a part of the Inspiration Angels - Paper Angels Group is SOOOOOO fabulous! Having friends who share their ideas with you, and you can enjoy the fun company of, on many occasions, crafting etc is simply the best!

Even better...
if you are an Inspiration Angel
you can come along to
any of my own classes for half price!

Anyone want to join us???? Give me a hoy and I'll fill you in with all you need to know about joining Stampin' Up! and all the fun of being an Inspiration Angel!!!!!!

We have all been riveted by the happenings in Haiti, where on 12 January an earthquake literally destroyed much of this poverty-stricken nation. The death toll has reached hundreds of thousands, and millions have been left homeless, without food and water. Like people all over the world, Stampin' Up! employees, demonstrators, and customers have yearned to help.

Stampin' Up! Home Office have been busy packing thousands of hygiene kits, read about this here on Shelli's Blog, and have announced the following Haitian Relief Campaign...

From now until 28 February 2010,
Stampin' Up! will donate $2 from the sale of every
I {Heart} Hearts stamp set.

These proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund, and the money will be used to provide immediate relief, as well as long-term support.

As I did with our Bush Fire Relief Campaign,
I would like to see as many of these sets sold to help support this very worthy cause.
I am therefor offering the I Heart Hearts Set
at my cost price $34.50 (plus 5% P&H).

In the past, when terrorists attacked the Twin Towers, when a tsunami struck Indonesia, when a hurricane destroyed New Orleans, and when wildfires ravaged Australia, Stampin' Up! demonstrators and customers have stepped forward and showed their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. This time is no different.
