Christmas Card Workshop Fun!

Memories of our fun day on the 31st July at the Springwood Bowls Club for our Paper Angels Annual Christmas Card Charity Workshops.
Paper Angel Ursula deserves a big round of applause for this day... it was fabulous!

The Springwood Bowls Club was a lovely venue, we had a huge room, great lighting, and the convenience of the bistro right beside us for lunch. Oh and I can't forget the yummy treats we had for Morning Tea!
Thanks to all the Paper Angels with a big contribution from Ursula & Liz there were gorgeous displays to get lots of Inspiration from and take photos of...

Cards for Troops was a new addition introduced this year and WOW what a fabulous response we had. Thanks to everyone who donated to this wonderful mission to send cards to our Troops so they have something nice to write a message on to send back home to their loved ones this Christmas. Special Thanks at the Springwood event to Di Greenaway for her 108 cards donated, and to Barbara Thompson for her 40 cards added to our Cards for Troops Box...

I had 7 of my lovely customers join me on the day,
we shared many a laugh, it was a tonne of fun!
Colleen, Sonia & Carla

Jennifer & Kym

Di & Barbara

Paper Angel Sam demonstrated for her first time at an event,
here she is with one of her guests Carla.

We made absolutely gorgeous projects featuring the 'I Wish' Simply Scrappin' Kit
and getting our hands on the BIG SHOT!

Each project gave the opportunity to try something new.
My Card design was even included... shucks!

Using the Colour Instructions and having all tools required within arms reach we had such a relaxing day cruising through the projects at our own pace.

Thanks goes to Liz for all her wonderful time and effort she puts into these special Paper Angels events. Behind the scenes Liz puts in so many hours and is so dedicated to the success of our events, she is truly our 'Guardian' Angel. Thanks Liz.

Congratulations goes to Barbara T for 1st prize in the Card Comp, and 2nd and 3rd prize Congrats goes to Di G. (Both my ladies of course, chuckle, yes I am proud!)

Of course, there was the now very famous raffle prizes! Stampin' Up! again shone through with their generosity of fabulous product donated for our raffles, making up 5 bright beautiful Prizes to be won!

My table nearly had a clean sweep of the lot! Winning prize 1 was Colleen, prize 2 Barbara, prize 3 Di, prize 4 Barbara again (lucky girl), and there was a glimpsing moment when we all gasped as prize 5 was announced, the winner being Carla... but much to Carla M from our tables disappointment *sob sob*, it was not her, but rather Carla Sam's guest. Congrats to all 5 winners of these lovely prizes.

I couldn't resist this cute photo of Barbara T with her 2 prizes, she's still flabbergasted to have done so well in the raffles. Lucky they were wrapped so pretty as she was worried her husband might think she'd been shopping again when she got home with so many new products! LOL

And the finished projects of the day of course...

Aren't they just the most adorable projects?
Thanks to Ursula & Liz for organising such a great day,
and to all who came along to make it the success it was!

Cards for Troops!

This year at our Paper Angels Annual Christmas Card Events we will have a box where you can donate 'Cards for Troops'!

There are many of our Australian Troops Serving Overseas in many places and most of them won't get the chance to come home and be with their loved ones for Christmas.

'Cards for Troops' ensure that our Australian Soldiers are able to send a special card home to their loved ones such as their kids, spouses, parents etc.
Last year 'Cards for Troops' sent many cards, that were greatly appreciated, and this year we would like them to send many more.

Have you got Christmas cards you made last year that didn't get used?
Have you got the time to set aside a few hours and
make a few Christmas cards to be sent to our troops?
Maybe you could make just one special card this year that can be sent knowing that it will go to an Aussie Soldier who will take great pleasure sending a special message in it back to his/her family this Christmas.

Look for our Box at our Paper Angels Christmas Card events, and pop a card or 2 in there for our Troops. (Please include a blank envelope where possible).

Can't make it to our events this year but you would like to donate to 'Cards for Troops',
Pop them in the mail to me and I will ensure they are sent in with our cards for this
wonderful program.

While we are on the subject of troops, I'd like to say that the spunky model in my photos is my Brother-in-law Jason. Thanks Jason for being my poster boy! Here's my chance also to share a beautiful photo from my Sister Jackie and Jason's Wedding Day in March this year!

Christmas Card Workshops - 10 reason's not to miss out!

Not long now until our favourite events of the year!

Bookings are closing... don't miss out!

Here's 10 reason's why you just 'NEED' to be at our

1. The wonderful, creative & fun PEOPLE that you will find there!

2. The PROJECTS have been designed to be elegant, simple & repeatable, using a great stash of Stampin' Up! papers, dies, tools, ribbon & bling!

3. The fabulous PRIZES! This year Stampin' Up! have been extremely generous in their support, we have well over $1000 of product to give away at each event!

* The proceeds from these fabulous raffle prizes ensures we continue to support the Mater Mothers Bereavement Footprints Programme

4. There is always a great supply of DISPLAY PROJECTS that you are welcome to photograph!

5. You can enter our CARD COMPETITION for only 50 cents per card. (We would like to see Christmas Cards created primarily with Stampin' Up! Product.) Participants in the Workshop will then vote and 3 lucky winners will share in $250 in prizes!

7. You can have the opportunity to Support our Troops! This year we will have a special box at all our Christmas Workshops. We will be collecting Christmas Card Donations for our Australian Troops serving overseas as part of a 'CARDS FOR TROOPS' program. These cards will ensure soldiers are able to send a card home at Christmas to their loved ones. Bring along any cards you did not use from last year, or would like to donate for our troops (please provide envelopes with the cards where possible).

8. We will have SPOT PRIZES during the course of the day!

Convention 2010 Awards & Recognition Banquet Night!

Like Hollywood Celebrities we entered the room on the Red Carpet with the Paparazzi snapping away and our fans awaiting our arrival and cheering us on! We were set from the start for a fabulous night!

The fans cheering us on being none other than the staff of Stampin' Up! of course! lol

The room was stunning, I loved the gorgeous candle centre pieces.

Glowing, Liz and Fiona who I shared a table with.

I also had the pleasure of sitting with Jeanette for the night.
We were well behaved of course... chuckle!

We had so many laughs, it was so much fun!

Ursula & Liz xo
Have a look at Ursula's amazing necklace, she is so talented, she made it herself.

Having a ball... Fiona & Trish!

After a very yummy ( and very classy) dinner, the awards and recognition began.

The stage was calling me... hee hee hee

This year each award recipient got to walk the stage and give a little bow or share their excitement with a little dance etc. Last year I didn't quite make it to the stage, so as you can imagine I got a bit excited the first time I got called up... here I am after receiving my award for sales over $20,000. Woo Hoo!

As well as receiving a pin & award recognition, we also received free stamps, this years stamps are not yet released ones... yep, we really got spoilt! lol. They were packed so nicely in gift bags. Here's Liz with one of her prize bags.

I was a very lucky girl this year receiving 2 awards. My second award being for recruiting. I have had 6 beautiful girls join my Inspiration Angels Group over the past year, and was recognised for this with a Recruiting Pin and yep, another stamp set. I didn't show off as much this time, but still had a grin from ear to ear as I took my second ever walk across the Stampin' Up! Stage.

Special Congratulations go to Paper Angels Bec & Liz for both achieving Top 25 Demonstrator Awards. Bec was awarded number 19 Top Demonstrator, and Liz came in at number 6! WOW!!!

Stampin' Up! gave us a fantastic presentation as they announced
Incentive Trip 2011 will be in FIJI!!!

The room was alive with excitement. A few people were invited to the stage, and really got into the spirit dancing Fiji Style!

Shelli's husband Sterling was one of the lucky ones invited on stage, and as you can see he loved every moment feeling the Fiji vibe and getting down with the groove!

Awards were then presented to those who have achieved Incentive Trip 2010 - Hamilton Island. Both Liz & Bec achieved Incentive this year, they both have worked so hard and deserve this amazing 5 star trip away! Well done Bec & Liz xo

All fun things come to an end, but not so quickly for the Paper Angels. We always some how make the fun last as long as possible. After the awards were over, we saw an opening to take to the stage and snap up a group photo or two!

You have may noticed a spunky looking fella amongst our fun Paper Angels Stage photos. That's Aaron Scott. Stampin' Up!s Regional Business Development Manager for Australia.

Looks like the Stampin' Up! staff thought they would have the same fun as the Paper Angels did on stage and snap up a group photo too!

Take Two, a little bit more sensible this time as we take the opportunity to have a Paper Angels Group Photo with SU CEO Shelli Gardner & SU Director Bonnie Thurber.

I was not leaving without a photo with Shelli of course! xo

Like I said, we never want such a fun night to end, so we stayed back until we were just about kicked out and chatted with Shelli & SU Vice President Pam Morgan. I just love that everyone always has the time for a chat.

Then that was that. Big hugs as we said bye til next time, and back to our rooms. No sleep for me though, all I could dream of was Stampin'! lol lol lol

Can't wait til next year.
Convention 2011 will be 3 days (we get an extra day, yey)
in Melbourne!

Who wants to join us in 2011?
